Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Buzz the Super ("Buzz", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "You" refers to any tenant, building owner, contractor, or other user of the Service.

2. Description of Service

Buzz provides AI-powered building maintenance management including:

AI-assisted maintenance issue diagnosis via text, phone, photo, and video
Self-fix guidance for common issues
Contractor dispatch and scheduling coordination
Building owner dashboards and insights
Building knowledge base management

3. User Responsibilities

Tenants: You agree to provide accurate descriptions of issues and to grant reasonable access for repairs. In emergencies (gas leaks, fire, flooding), always call 911 first.

Building Owners: You are responsible for maintaining accurate building information, responding to approval requests in a timely manner, and paying for contracted services.

Contractors: You agree to provide accurate availability, show up for confirmed appointments, and perform work to professional standards.

4. AI-Powered Services

Buzz uses artificial intelligence to diagnose issues and provide guidance. While our AI is designed to be helpful and accurate:

AI diagnoses are suggestions, not professional engineering assessments
Self-fix guidance is provided for safe, simple repairs only
Buzz will never suggest DIY fixes for gas, electrical panel, structural, or flood-related issues
Cost estimates are approximate and may vary from actual contractor quotes
Always follow local building codes and regulations

5. Emergencies

Buzz is not a substitute for emergency services. For fire, gas leaks, sewage backup, structural emergencies, or threats to personal safety, call 911 immediately. Buzz will attempt to detect emergencies and direct you to call emergency services, but this should not be relied upon as your only safety measure.

6. Pricing and Payment

Building owners subscribe to Buzz on a per-unit, per-month basis. Current pricing is $20/unit/month, billed monthly. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Contractor costs for repairs are separate and billed as quoted. There are no long-term contracts — you may cancel at any time.

7. SMS and Phone Communications

By texting or calling Buzz's phone number, you consent to receive SMS and voice communications related to your maintenance requests. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.

8. Intellectual Property

The Buzz service, including its AI models, software, designs, and branding, are the property of Buzz the Super. You retain ownership of any photos, videos, or content you submit, but grant Buzz a license to use this content for providing and improving the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Buzz provides its service "as is." We are not liable for:

Inaccurate AI diagnoses or cost estimates
Contractor performance, quality of work, or damages
Service interruptions or technical issues
Decisions made based on Buzz's guidance

Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. Building owners may cancel their subscription effective at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
